Under a Rustler's Moon (2017)
for guitar duo (5')
program note
A rustler’s moon is what cattlemen call a crescent moon. Rustlers (thieves) in the Old West would use the faint light of a crescent moon to pull off heists and have just enough light to escape with the herd and remuda. Drawing from memories of my own childhood on the Llano, I aimed to recreate the serenity of this liminal space between darkness and light.
